Forward to Part 2

7 Days is a story I’ve been working on for far too long. I’ve decided to publish it piece by piece here, and comment on it as we go. So, Part 1:

Originally, these next few sections with Furball and Ty was a shorter story called “415 Reasons to Skip School in Java.” It was a little more enclosed, a little less detailed. But as the years went on, Ty and Furball’s world built around them, and their friends became involved.

Not that they weren’t around, their friends. Most of the characters in this story have the dirty little secret that they were all born in the world of Sonic the Hedgehog fan-fiction. For the furry genre, especially people around my age, this is very common. I could point to a couple of artists I follow on Deviant Art who share this dirty little secret, but I don’t think they’d appreciate it.

For not having stories about them published, these characters are old. I moved them out of the realm of Sonic fanfic when I was in ninth-grade, all of 10 years ago. I’ve gotten to know them over the last 10 years, and I really want to share their lives with you.

Some things about Ty and Furball

As for Java, Missouri, it doesn’t exist, except it kind of does. Much of where Ty and her group will go are based off of real places, both places I loved and loathed growing up in the suburbs of St. Louis.
